SLIDESHOW

40 YEARS WITH ANTIQUES
Craig Mayor started working with antiques already at age 16 when he apprenticed for a Pennsylvania antique dealer and restorer. After 5 years there he was ready to open his own restoration studio. In 1973 he established "MAYOR ANTIQUES" in a lovely historic building in Chestnut Hill, Philadelphia.

Craig operated this landmark shop and an annex for almost 20 years when finally he said goodbye to Philadelphia and hello to new challenges in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He started a whole sale  operation catering to upscale antique stores and galleries in Miami, Fort Lauderdale and Palm Beach rapidly establishing himself as a trusted and indispensable source of the best period antiques. In 1997 a new era began with the 'Mayor Antiques' shop on Floranada Avenue "45th street" in Fort Lauderdale in 2004 expanding into a new and much larger facility on Dixie Highway, which is today's magnificent DECORATIVE ART & FINE ANTIQUES, INC.
