Late 18th Century English Chippendale Carved Mahogany and Parcel Gilt Mirror

This fine mahogany Chippendale mirror dating to the late 18th century features a pediment with elaborate gilt foliate scrolls centering a carved gilt phoenix bird above sides with carved gilt leaf garlands and a shaped bottom part. We have judged this mirror to be of English origin but it could also be an American Constitution style mirror.
