An English Late 18th Cent. George III Mahogany Secretary Desk and Bookcase

Of classical proportions and with the warm glow of the flamed mahogany this secretary bookcase consists of two parts. The upper part features a dentil molded cornice above two paneled doors, enclosing a shelved interior under which you find two pull out shelves for candlesticks. The fall front of the lower part opens up to a well laid out interior with pigeon holes, drawers and a central cupboard flanked by two secret vertical drawers, all above 5 graduated drawers with original brasses, the entire case resting on carved Ogee bracket feet typical of the period.
