17th-18th Century English Jacobean Style Three-Drawer Oak Wood Dresser or Buffet

Rarely do we see furniture of this age in such good condition. Some restorations and repairs have naturally taken place during its long lifespan but the overall impression is that of authenticity. The dresser features a two plank top and molded cornice above three drawers with fronts decorated by shaped moldings in a geometrical design typical of the period. The dresser rests on two carved and turned front legs and two square hind legs. The hardware has undergone some changes through the time and locks in the two flanking drawers have been added likely in the 19th century.
