19th Century Eight-Drawer Portuguese Baroque Style Rosewood Library Hall Table

A magnificent and unusually large ‘mesa butte’ table featuring a polished top with spiral carved edge above eight carved frieze drawers, four on both long side a and two simulated drawers both short sides, supported by bulb, ring and spiral turned legs united by low stretchers carved with opposing spiral turnings. The arabesque pierced brasses on drawers and legs adds a distinct exotic character.
