Antique Chinese Carved Red Lacquer and Gilt Foo Dog Themed Table

This unique table features a red lacquered top with symbolic cut-outs above four Foo Dog headed and elaborately carved legs ending in ball feet. To this frame are applied vertical and horizontal open-work gilt carvings dramatically accenting the sculptural concept. The table comes with an additional glass top, 19th century. W 29 in. D 16 in.
