An Exceptional Pair of Maison Baguès Style French Mid-Century Gilt Parrot Sconces

These wonderful wall sconces in the style of Napoleon III feature carved parrots perched atop classical tapered ‘stems’ from which naturally curved gilt bronze arms with foliage and flowers strives upwards to carry the lights. Retaining their original gilt and paint with subtle patina the sconces offer the timeless concept of elegance. They are not currently wired but as the images show they are easily electrified if desired. Worn labels on the back bear the name PALLADIO, likely the manufacturer or retailer.
