A 19th Century English Ebonized and Ormulu Mounted Mantle/Bracket Clock.

The rectangular case with four urn corner finials and arched pediment with pierced ormolu mask mount surmounted by a turned boss top and urn finial. The arched door with pierced ormulu mask mounts and key plate masks, the canted sides with caryatid mounts, the sides with decorative drop handles above pierced ormolu panels. The stepped base with foliate ormolu frieze and scrolled ormolu feet. The arched brass dial with foliate ormolu mounts centering a 7 in. signed silvered Roman chapter ring with outer five minute Arabic divisions and sanded center, the arch with two silvered subsidiary dials marked, chime / silent and Whittington Chimes/Cambridge Chimes. Comes with wall bracket. Circa 1860-80. H 25 in. W 16 in. D 11.5 in.
