After Anders Hegelund’s most recent one man show at ‘C7 Gallery’ in the heart of Copenhagen DAFA is proud to introduce selected examples of his oeuvre to the American public. Well known also as an architect and designer Hegelund has been a prominent member of the vibrant artistic community in his native country since his early exhibitions of expressionistic landscapes and figural paintings in North Jutland. In his capacity of one time professor at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts and long standing board member of the National Danish Foundation for the Arts, Hegelund has expanded and refined his creativity into the highly intricate and unique ‘Concrete Abstraction’ which this work demonstrates so boldly. Anders Hegelund is included in ‘Weilbach’, the official dictionary of Danish artists.
