Reverse glass paintings (verre eglomise) of a Moghul Prince, with headdress and beard in the fashion of the 17th Century and his princess, elaborately bejeweled and with a ring in her left nostril, both holding up a fruit to their face. Impressively framed in polychrome painted and carved frames with architectural reliefs and bands of inscription. Rajasthan, India circa 1840. 6 x 8.8 in. 28 x 31 in. including frames.
